I give this beautiful little bracelet from Banana Republic my vote of confidence. I noticed that they only supply the gray color online, but I have my eye set on a muted turquoise shade that I saw in the store itself. Take a gander!

PURPLE DRESS WEEK: J.Crew

Love this rich "spiced wine" colored silk-cotton dress from J.Crew. The cross-front knot in the front is beautiful! Elegantly simple. J.Crew dresses tend to be closer to knee-length, so if you're looking for a real show-stopper that shows your legs, this might not be the dress for you. But on the plus side, you can wear a regular bra with it!

Look closely - there's a delicate braided sash around the waist on this Sunday Brunch dress. How nifty! And the gauzy one-shoulder/short dress combination is, frankly, hot.

Love the ruffles and rosettes on this little cutie from Anthropologie. The ribbon sash also adds just the right amount of character, and it's removable, too. This is an excellent dress for an office party or a formal! Not too fancy and certainly not too casual. And those ruffles aren't one bit stifling!

PURPLE DRESS WEEK: Sunday Brunch Dress Shop

I created "Purple Dress Week" because one of my dearest friends asked me to help her find a fabulous purple dress for an event she is attending in the near future. Well, I decided to make a project of it and find a week's worth of fashion's most understated staple: the purple dress!

And so, to kick the week off, I've selected this little number from Sunday Brunch. The first picture is a model of what the dress looks like; the second image is the side view and also the purple version! I love love love the contrasting colorblock style. Enjoy!

Well now this is what I call a lamp. As usual, Anthropologie has outdone itself once again. Although I love love love this piece of, ahem, art, I do feel that I could make it myself. Pending, of course, the help of a highly skilled electrician. Easier said than done, I'll wager.

AH how cute. It's tough to find decent white ballet flats that don't make you look like a young blundering toddler, but these, I daresay, break the rules! Clearly, they look to be in the badass nautical tattoo style - and I love it! Enough sweetness to combat the edge, and enough edge to combat the sweetness.

The key to the castle ... more like the key to opening your drink! This "Castle Key Bottle Opener" from Anthropologie is just exquisite. And it's only $12! Definitely my indulgence of the week. Lovely. Nothing screams "classy" like unbolting a bottle of beer with an elegant opener like this!

I've been eyeing this little pretty for some time now. There's something mesmerizing about it ... it's that type of thought process where you see something you like and can't stop thinking about it for days ... well, that's when you're meant to go buy it. So I might just do that. But anyway. The ornaments on this bracelet really do look like shuttlecocks, and the bright colors are so optimistic for the impending ease of summer! I'm picturing myself wearing this bracelet, with espadrille-clad heels kicked up on top of an umbrella-covered cafe table, sipping a frosty lemonade and watching the ocean waves break the surf ...

I'm desperate to get a pair of leather driving gloves simply so that I can feel like an elitist badass whilst driving. I'm confident in saying that these do my fantasy justice. I like any of these colors, really, though I'm partial to this yam shade. And the best part? They're cashmere-lined. Nuff said.

There's just something about wearing an apron that makes cooking so much more fun. And you could pretty much get away with cooking anything, regardless of your cooking abilities, in this adorable Jessie Steele damask apron. Why, you could probably even get away with wearing this as a dress ... except for the backless part, of course. Hmm. Invest in one and look forward to years of stylish cooking!

Well well well, look who's cashing in on the Ugg empire! Not that I'm complaining! I love these boots and I love L.L. Bean, and, if I am correct, these are far cheaper than the real McCoys. Yes, far cheaper, and who doesn't love that 100% satisfaction guarantee that L.L. Bean is famed for? Don't be surprised if these puppies have sold out, though. Word on the street is that L.L. Bean boots, no matter the style, have been snatched up left and right this holiday season and are now in (very) short supply. Hurry!

peace, love, and bracelets

Now, I'm not one to bedeck myself in peace signs. But I love this Lucky brand bracelet because it doesn't even look like a peace sign unless you really look for it. And finding a nice cuff bracelet that you can wear with just about anything is tricky, but this one fits the bill. I would feel so, well, "lucky" to have it!

Hmm! Carry your laptop in the style it deserves. As usual, J.Crew has put out another top-quality accessory, but this time it has a twist: it's 100% certified organic Turkish cotton with leather from Norway! How exciting! Just what your laptop needs ... a go-green carrying case. Between you and me, it doesn't know the difference, but who cares, it's a sharp looking case. I just love that rich red/coral color. This would certainly make me (and my MacBook) happy! It's just parting with the $285 that makes me throw up a little in my mouth. Oh well ...

I do love a unique nail polish color, and I do love Rescue Beauty Lounge. And so, having said that, I love love love this "Look Rich, Be Cheap" gold/purply glitter polish. So very festive for the holiday and winter season, and it's not a color that you see on every girl (or guy) out there. Definitely a worthy indulgence of the week. It shall set you apart from your friends, mark my words, and shall definitely catch the lighting nicely at your next fine dining experience.

I am a firm believer that a person can wear anything they want to IF it fits them to a T and makes everyone looking at you jealous. And so, I feel that this "Lucky Star" dress from ModCloth fits the bill just beautifully. Look at how seamlessly it is made! And that boned bustier top will certainly flatter any size bust. Such a nice wintry color, too. Yes, I definitely think this dress would make me happy. 5/5 stars!

I found this book on the Curiosity Shoppe - for 1 year, the authors of this book took a photograph between the hours of 5-10pm and shared them online. How adorable! This would make an excellent coffee table book and would surely lend itself to insightful conversation!

tea + candles = perfection

This tea cup candle by MOR is so, well, gorgeous, that I'm almost convinced to spend the heart stopping $50 for it. You'd have to really ration this candle - we're talking light it once or twice a year! - to get your money's worth. I like to light candles constantly, so I'd probably burn it down to a stub in no time. Knowing this, I'll just admire it from afar. I wonder, once the candle burns away, can you use the tea cup? Hmm.
