Last call for Purple Dress Week! Let's bid it farewell with this pick from Victoria's Secret. All I can say is look at how stunning the draping is on the back of this dress. I have a weakness for backless dresses! Also love the gentle light purple color. :)

PURPLE DRESS WEEK: J.Crew

Love this rich "spiced wine" colored silk-cotton dress from J.Crew. The cross-front knot in the front is beautiful! Elegantly simple. J.Crew dresses tend to be closer to knee-length, so if you're looking for a real show-stopper that shows your legs, this might not be the dress for you. But on the plus side, you can wear a regular bra with it!

Look closely - there's a delicate braided sash around the waist on this Sunday Brunch dress. How nifty! And the gauzy one-shoulder/short dress combination is, frankly, hot.

Love the ruffles and rosettes on this little cutie from Anthropologie. The ribbon sash also adds just the right amount of character, and it's removable, too. This is an excellent dress for an office party or a formal! Not too fancy and certainly not too casual. And those ruffles aren't one bit stifling!

PURPLE DRESS WEEK: Sunday Brunch Dress Shop

I created "Purple Dress Week" because one of my dearest friends asked me to help her find a fabulous purple dress for an event she is attending in the near future. Well, I decided to make a project of it and find a week's worth of fashion's most understated staple: the purple dress!

And so, to kick the week off, I've selected this little number from Sunday Brunch. The first picture is a model of what the dress looks like; the second image is the side view and also the purple version! I love love love the contrasting colorblock style. Enjoy!
